Choc Brownie Slice
Makes: 18cm x18cm square dish
1 cup ground nuts/seeds (I used Kitz Active Mix)
½ cup ground flax seed
½ cup coconut palm sugar
1 cup dried coconut – unsweetened
½ cup oatbran
2 tbsp. cacao powder
3 tbsp. honey
2 tbs ground flax soaked for 5mins with 3 tbs hot water
1 tsp baking powder
½ cup rice bran oil (use olive oil if Paleo)
½ cup rice milk (use nutmilk if Paleo)
Place all dry ingredients into a large bowl and mix so that you have no lumps.
Add the remaining wet ingredients and stir
Spread into a baking paper lined square dish and smooth the top evenly.
Bake for about 30mins on 170OC or until a skewer some out dry and the top has small cracks.
Let cook then cut into squares or rectangles.
When they are warm they have a wonderful crunch on the outside and are nice a chewy on the inside. A real treat services with my raw Chocolate hazelnut ice cream, sliced banana, raspberries and slivers of a raw fruit and nut chocolate id made a while ago. J Morning tea for Jane’s last day. She loves the ice cream so had to do her an ice cream treat.
